About Dr. Scott M. Meltzer

Dr. Scott M. Meltzer has been practicing General Dentistry since 1991.  He bought his practice in Howell New Jersey in 1997 from Dr. Saul Landa who owned the practice for over 30 years and still practices with Dr. Meltzer on a part time basis.  Dr. Meltzer graduated from The Boston University School of Dental Medicine in 1991 and completed a General Practice Residency in Dentistry at Boston City Hospital in 1992.  Dr. Meltzer’s interests are in all phases of modern dentistry, including cosmetic (tooth colored) bonding, porcelain veneers and endodontics (root canals). He is especially interested in implants. He recently took a continuing education course given by Dr. Carl E. Misch, widely considered to be the worlds greatest authority on implant dentistry, having started performing implants in the 1970’s, and lecturing around the world.    He is certified to perform Invisalign Orthodontics, which are clear, removable “aligners” that are changed every two weeks until the teeth are straight. Dr. Meltzer is a longstanding member of the American Dental Association, The New Jersey Dental Association and The Monmouth and Ocean County Dental Society.  Dr. Meltzer has lived in Freehold since 1993 and is married with two children. 

Gloria S. Montalban, DMD

Dr. Meltzer is extremely proud and lucky to have had Dr. Gloria Montalban as part of his team for the past 8 years. Dr. Montalban is an excellent and extremely knowledgeable dental practitioner. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from UMDNJ in 1997. Dr. Montalban has been published in several journals with studies on antibiotics and other anti- microbial agents. Dr. Montalban is a member of The Academy of General Dentistry and the National Dental Honors Fraternity. She was awarded the Undergraduate Scholarship Award in recognition of high scholastic standing among her peers. She has a strong interest in both Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry. Her hobbies include singing, dancing, and musical theatre, as well as tennis, volleyball, and skiing. Dr. Montalban has a great “chair-side” manner; she is a gentle, patient, and extremely thorough practitioner.
